Overflow of Grace (Romans 5:20-21)

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I had a great time talking through God’s law and grace with you guys this Sunday.  How are you viewing God’s law this week?  Are you keeping in mind the gracious purpose of God?  Do you have a “bloody fist” mentality or a gracious “key” perspective?

Hey everyone!

I know it was a bit heavy on Sunday, but I hope we were able to work through the text in a way that helped us to understand what Paul was saying. What are you challenged with or learn from this passage?

So, what are you thoughts?  Representation is a wonderful reality for all of us.  Were you motivated/encouraged?  If so, how?  If not, why not?  Remember, your thoughts posted here will help others reading it, as well.

Rejoice in Hope of the Glory of God!

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Hello everyone out there! So glad you could join us for this discussion. We had a good time of discussing this topic on Sunday morning at Crossroads from Romans 5:1-5 and it will be good to continue our discussion here. There is much more we could have discussed, so look at this as an opportunity to ask anything you still wonder about or to add your comments. I look forward to your thoughts as they always force me to reflect more on God’s word.

Personally it has been interesting for me as I see how quickly we can turn from rejoicing in the hope of being glorified to “trusting in the things I see.” How frustrating to see this so quickly after teaching on this great passage.  I am finding that I must constantly return to Scripture and the promises God gives, often multiple times per day, just to keep my thinking straight. Do you find this to be true? What passages or thoughts have you looked at to keep you thinking correctly?

I look forward to your contributions.
